Default Lake finds

Kids are out for spring break this week. They just opened the swimming area up at a lake near here so I decided to try the swimming area with sand for the first time! I had a blast and I think I got my kids hooked on treasure hunting. My 11 year old son found some coins and wouldn't let me have the detector back, he liked it so much! I found my first gold ring with diamonds!
I hit an earring first off the bat when I first got there, and then I think a pull tab and then the silver looking ring and maybe 2 more trash items and then boom the gold ring! I just about fell out! Then all the other stuff! I used the coin and jewelry program on the DFX and dug everthing since it was a small sandy beach area. First picture is my sons finds! These are pictures of everything I dug.

Very rewarding finds pat and you deserve that ring, you've worked hard.

Your starting your son on a very rewarding hobby that will lead him to many years of enjoyment

Let us know when he gets his first detector

Default yo Pat

From the land of the Bluenose...think the best find was quality time with the offspring. Occasional I get my better half in the water a swishing as with my 16 year old daughter....once she gets her eyes off the young bouys! Congrats on the gold!

Thanks Rick! I have a bounty hunter as a second detector I tried to get my son to bring it on the trip he wanted to bring his bike instead and he managed to get it in my trunk! We joked because he said he was bringing the other detector on the next trip! Thanks Gregory! I do think I have a new treasure hunter for the future! Thanks Leslie! I really enjoyed my son finally getting involved and seeing that it is alot of fun and I think digging in the sand made it alot easier!

Wishing everyone here gold rings and best finds for the future!

Pat
