nice hunt you did pretty well...hope the locketstones are real diamonds. that would be sweet. i love being able to hunt for that long as well. i may be tired at the end but a whole day, but...(oh boy, oh boy i wonder what it is this time in the hole!) never gets old! i find it hard to quit for the day and if it stayed daylight longer i would keep goin'. again...nice hunt.

I would trust a jeweler about as far as I could throw him. I have heard several reports of women taking rings in to get cleaned or resized only to find out later that the real diamonds were replaced by cubic zirconia. If you do take it in somewhere don't let it out of your sight.

If I was you I would have the locket looked into! It looks to be peeling a bit, Gold Plated? The peel spots are dark, Silver? Could be Gold plated silver. The stones could be glass, spinals, Corundum's? You never know.

Well took the locket to a jewelry store this morning & had it looked at, they tried to clean it a bit & then the young girl comes out & says they don't think there real, of course I say what do you mean you don't think they are real don't you know & then she stammers O no there not real & probably not gold either, thanked her for her help & left going well that was a big help we don't think there real what the heck does that mean, we don't have the time to really look or we can't tell which would bring up a whole new problem of trust.
