Default Strange finds for an Elementary school

Hi all, I went out this morning for a little over an hour to our local elementary school playground and was quite surprised to find almost an equal number of bullets to coins. I would have been there longer but battery light came on on the MD so I figured Id wrap it up. I Found 9 coins totalling 1.38 and shell casings from a 45 handgun, 2- 30 carbine, 1 from a 30-30 and 1 from a 30-06 and 4 maybe 5 bullet heads ( I dont know what else to call them) also found a set of PO box keys. Not much but it was interesting, Im definatly going back with fresh batteries G-girl

G-girl I would go back also. Makes you wonder about all them shells in the playground, but it makes it interesting.

Except fore the 30-30 cartridge, they are all military rounds! Must have been a range there at one time or another? Back in the 60's maybe.

Looks like those kids play rough over there.
You should always carry a spare set of batteries with you G-Girl.

Nice finds, and great job on IDing the shells. The middle bullet on the bottom row looks interesting; it looks like a larger caliber and it appears to have a white patina. Can you tell if it's possibly Civil War era, or something more modern?
