Default Right Date Wrong Mintmark

Decided to try a grass strip between the sidewalk and street in front of an old apartment complex. It was small probally 12 feet long by 4 feet wide. My detector hasn't been acting right lately and I'm thinking about sending it back to Garrett for some repairs, Been getting too many false signals, Discovered that the jack from my battery pack has a bent prong and signs of minor corrosion. The part I'm talking about looks just like a phone jack. So I decided to dig everything I heard regaurdless of what it registered on the meter and what it sounded like. Probally $1.25 in newer change, Cheap ring, cheap necklace, couple of keys, Old cigarette lighter, 1951 wheat, Hairclip, tons of pull tabs that went in the trash, Some stange type of lid with a ship on it, copper wire, Decided to go back over it again the other direction after the first sweep, Got a deep indian 1902, Last sound was bearly audible, Thought it was another false signal, So I cut three inch plug and went over it again, It was faint yet solid, About 8 in's down I see a dirt caked silver dime, 1916. Flipped it over and thought I had the Denver, Ran to the water hoseand rinsed it only to discover an "S" mintmark. Enjoy the pics.
