Default couple hours at the park

hey folks...hope ya had a good tuesday. busy here. so after getting the green light from "the boss" i headed in to Veteran's Memorial park, here in Sierra Vista. with the batteries reading 3/4 i began on a small knoll near an outdoor theater and immediately got a penny hit. dug a few of those and happened upon some decorative rock. (jewels to my daughter heh heh). i like finding little treasures i can give to her when i get back and always come up with something for her. so then i meandered over to some trees that had some taller grass around them and walked into a nice pocket spill. most of the nickels in the pic came from that spot. the ace's nickle signature is weird and makes me think of all the nickles i ain't finding due to disreguarding it as trash. i got another signal i was gonna ask you ace owners about which registered in the 1.00 /gold slot, all the way right. when i switched from coin to all metal mode,it did not change it's behavior, still saying definately gold . the hole got big , the light grew sparse...i gave up on it but will be back. on the way back to the car while simply holding the coil over the ground as i walked i got a penny hit. debated whether or not to dig. decided to go ahead and sure enough a penny. after a quick last scan of the area bang there's a quarter. so the hunt was over by this point, as the wife texted me asking if i was on my way home...i texted back that i was at the light as i started the car and headed out. next hunt will be where the old pool once sat...i did well there tonight.

Good hunt! It sounds like the Ace and you are doing just fine. The nice rocks should make your daughter happy also, Beale.

Nice finds. The pool area ought to give up some fine finds. Maybe a real jewel for your daughter.

Nice bunch of finds, I would go back to that spot where you had that good hit and check that out first then go hit the pool area. Good Luck.

Default pool area revisited...

or will be after work today. Em has dance practice tonight and every night this week for her recital that's coming up soon.so that pretty much leaves me free to detect.not every night this week but more than normal, i'll say. so the pool area will be one place i want to hit up...plus a volleyball court that a friend of mine says he wont detect because of hot sand. neither has he been hitting up the old pool area, so whats that tell yah? it'll be spot #1! not sure why the mineralization interferes with his unit so much. i think it's a Garrett 1000 or something close. anyway...tonight i'll get some pics for ya's. back to the trenches for me...work beckons. have a good 'un guys.
