Default one room school and dancehall finds

Hello all, I got out to a site today were there used to be a one room school house and a dancehall. My Dad told me about the old dancehall were he used to take my Mom when they first met back in the 40's and 50's.I drive by this site all the time and couldent ever find anyone at home till yesterday.I was on my way to a picnic at my nieces house and saw a guy painting the barn so I stopped and introduced myself and asked for permission. He told me to come by anytime I like.So this morning I headed there early and brought along some of my better finds to show him and also brought along an old atlas of the area.He was pretty interested and I think I might have recruted a new detectorist. I showed him how to use the detector and let him try his luck for abit but he dident find anything. So I started lookin around and we found an old copper coin that I havent id'ed yet but I think I can make out a date of 17 something.

After awile the landowner had to go so I got down to bidness. I found a 1935 merc.a 1951 and 52 rosie some crusty wheatbacks an old nickel and some other odd's and end's.Then as I was getting ready to head out I found a really cool old candleholder. It has a boy holding a bucket of grapes and a goat. The bottom was broke off but still a cool find. The grass was pretty high so I couldent hunt to well but it will be cut for hay soon and should have some more goodies hidin there for the next time.Hope y'all had a great Holiday ! HH

Thanks y'all,There's not much hope of id'ing the old coin.I rinced it in water and the results were not to good. Now I cant see any of the date but can just make out what looks like the roman numerals III.I'm going to take some photos and play around with them some to see if I can make out any more details.
Once they hay the field I'm going to see if I can find the rest of the candle stick.I think it's one of the coolest finds I've had so far, just wish it was made of something like brass.......or silver and gold.
