Default My oldest coin so far

I found my first Morgan silver dollar and it is also my oldest coin to date, it's an 1879. Found it in a lawn that is across the street from the oldest high school building in our city. I had a 4 silver day that day '20 and '44 Mercs and a '13 Barber dime and also got a '36d Buffalo nickle. It was a long winter here in Iowa and I couldn't wait to get out, this is my 3rd year detecting and I'm loving it. So far this spring I've almost got last years total beat.
I'm staying out of the parks this year and concentrating on house demo sights. I recently had the opportunity to hunt 8 turn of the century homes that were being torn down to make way for a new school. I work for the Utilities department for our city and have first hand knowledge of any pending demos as we have to disconnect the water before they can tear down the house and this usually gives me 3 to 5 days to hunt it before they tear it down. It's amazing how many empty lots we have here where homes used to sit and I never really took notice till now. I will have enough places to hunt for a long time. The pics are of my keepers so far this spring.
