Default found an old button today!

i went to the woods where there are a few foundations. there is tons of trash near them so i went over to the creek that is on the other side. i found this button (i think it's a button..) but i broke part of the loop off the back when i was rubbing it. it looks very old and it's soaking in oil now. i hope to be able to get a little more of that crust off the front and show some more detail. the quarter's just for size.

I agree, looks like a button. If you have any way to put that through electrolysis, that may remove a lot of the surface rust. Congrats.

Very interesting. Fun to find odds and ends like that. Always wonder what the story is behind them.
