Default 4 Hours Of Sod Diggin

Well the recent rains have made the sod diggin bearable, freshly mowed and damp, it doesn't get much better than that !! Found my first dime cache !! 5 in all wrapped up tight in bundle, with electrical tape. You can see the imprint of the dimes, in the tape !! 2 rings, one with a black stone (onyx??) the other with 2 blue stones. (simulated saphire??), a bobcat pendant, one canadian dime, 4 canadian cents. One of the dimes I dug was 6" below the sod, measured it. Deepest nickel was also exactly 6", the rings rang up solid 45 vdi #, just above the pulltab range. The MXT was hummin (I had her cranked up to the max), and I was a diggin !! Heres the pics... 06-30-08 coins, 2 rings, 5 dime cache.JPG

A good day of hunting.
I remember (kinda) a member on here a long time ago found coins wrapped up like that... I couldn't tell you who or when or what coins was found, but I just remember them being wrapped up in tape like that, and everyone was curious why .

Wow nice hunt...and two rings...geez, very nice. And i also wonder why the heck someone would wrap dimes up like that. Maybe they thought there would be less chance of them being lost.. anyways...good hunt and glad the conditions are better. cory

Congrats on 2 rings. That sure makes for a great day! I really like the dime wrap. Not sure why it was done, but I think it is cool, Beale.
