Default My best find so far (its not that great)

I hit my favorite park for a couple hours today. I found a lot of new bottle caps today. But I did get my best find of any kind to date. A clad $1 coin. 2005 I think it was. Kind of boring I know, but seeing anything with gold on it kind of gets me excited. Even if it's fake gold.
As a kind of odd side story. My renewed interest in metal detecting has made me look through my old coin collection. I found an old Canadian penny in my penny stash. It is a Newfoundland penny dated 1944. I found the same one on Ebay listed at $25! Mine is in really good condition. They only made this penny for 9 years. And when Newfoundland became part of Canada in 1949(?) they stopped making their own money. I guess I never looked it up before because I didn't have info on Canadian money. I have had it since before the internet so both me and the penny are getting old together.

Now with PICTURES!

Congrate on the penny. I am traveling for work and I am in an very old town and went to a local elementary school and all I found was clad it seems that the school is only a few years old. I just got my detector after having a childs toy more than 25 years ago. I found a 1941 nickle the other day and was excited so I know what you mean by seeing gold. Ice
