Default Infested Coin Site

I call this place my infested coin site, cause I hammered it hard last year, with the Classic !! Now the MXT is going over every square inch AGAIN !! The ground was dry, the diggin was tough, but I hung in there for a little over 2 hours. Managed 4 wheats, and a surprise, a 1958 silver quarter !! Man she came out of the ground pretty !! Measured the depth at 6 1/2 ". The 1919 wheat was at 5" , got 4 canadian cents, the oldest is 1947, seems like the targets were running deeper , maybe because of the dry ground?? here's the pics, Rich.07-10-08 coins.JPG

Default infested

i hit a site last year also with the same detector and ive been doing it this year and ive found some nice finds lately. the reason: FROST i wish i had all the technical terms for it but the frost just keeps the ground rolling up especially here in the north. those finds were there, just may have been out of reach of your detector then, or a faint signal, or some are new and you are doing a better job of finding them.

WTG, definately hit that site after a rain storm. That will help find the deeper targets.

Congrats on the finds! Any day you get silver and wheats is a good day. That quarter looks to be in good shape, nice find. Good hunting, Beale.

Found 5 separate, blackened dimes, that were right on top of the clay layer, 7" deep, they weren't sinking any further. I definitely went over them last year with the Classic, but they were either out of reach, or came in too weak to give a solid tone, so I bypassed them. The Classic is a very good coin machine, the MXT is a better one !!! Rich.
