Default Another school field

Ran into a buddy of mine from the Austin Club today while I was out... we hit a field at my son's school... he had already found a diamond ring there just recently, so I was excited, and it turns out I had a good right to be...

Together, we found 3 rings and a somewhat new watch... He found ANOTHER gold ring, with what I think is an aquamarine, amethyst, or topaz (light blue stone), and I found 2 silver rings and the watch... one of the rings is in bad shape, the other is really pretty, with initials engraved on the top... the watch is a Gruen, appears to be a pretty good quality watch... the band is broken and the face is slightly cracked, and it has a little moisture inside, but overall, I think I can get it fixed... heck, I may even wear it if I can...

anyway, we're gonna hit that field again real soon!

Nice! What kind of field was it and where did you find them, around the edges or in the field itself or where? Inquiring minds want to know!

Found the rings and the watch about a 1/3 of the way from the sideline, not much near the middle of the field... not very deep, maybe 3 or 4 inches - it's a newer school, so there isn't anything very deep there... but's a really clean field, and hunting in low disc is easy to do... i basically dug everything that hit a solid nickle/low tone and above... anything broken or dual-tone, i left... i called a couple of trash targets, so i'm starting to understand what diff. stuff sounds like... i did get a funky signal that turned out to be a nickle and a dime in the same plug, so i may need to do more testing of my theories...
