Default This weekend I........

detected an old dance hall site on Sat.and found a 1911 V nickel and a token that says "A gift from the people of France to the people of the United States" "Dedicated October 28 1886" on one side and it has a pic. of the statue of liberty on the other side. Both are in rough shape and I have them soaking so I'll take photos later. Sunday was a different story ! I whent to the old school in the morning.I was walking along when I saw something move out the corner of my eye. When I looked up there was a young fawn trotting across the feild right at me ! I stopped and kneeled down and he came right up to me and stopped about 10 feet away.He looked me over for a few minutes then whent on his way. Started detectin again and got a weak signal, dug down about 10 inches and found what I thought may be an Indianhead penny.Turned out to be a 1915 s wheatback.I still had a weak signal in the hole and dug to over a foot down but gave up,dont know why I quit but I gotta get back and cheak it out ! I left there to go do some water hunting at an old mill/swimhole site.I was crossing the river when I slipped and fell breaking the handle off my Fisher.Gave up whent home and JB waterwelded the handle back on. I was going to get back out in the afternoon after my nap But when I came to it was pouring rain, but we needed it pretty bad so I hung out at the house with the little woman and ate cheescake and watched a movie. Now it's back to work till next weekend ! Have a great week y'all !

Great Weekend except for the breaking the CZ21's handle bit. The JB weld will be at least as strong as the original so no problem. Have a good week and then get back and find out what else was in that hole, 12" deep and 12" wide should do the job nicely.

Cheers Mate,

Cheers Mate,
Thanks bud,Loooong week at work this week, gunna have to walk a couple hundred miles for sure ! Might need to break out the long handle shovel on that hole,my luck it'll turn out to be a darn rusty nail after all that diggin, but I can throw it in the trunk of my car before it goes to the crusher.every bit of weight helps !
