Default Makinholes and I ...8 pre 1840 and 3 silver day

From the land of the Bluenose....after a hard night with Mr. Bud I dragged myself out of bed and headed down the 101 to pick up Makinholes with the mandatory stop at Tim's for a brew and a glass of water to wash down the triple Tylenol that didn't seem to stop the drumming in my head.

Once Makinholes was aboard we headed to my field in Falmouth with the sun just beating down on the field. Wasn't long before the coins and buttons started coming with 4 buttons ,7 pre 1840 colonial tokens and Brit pennies being found which Myles photographed . These we then gave to the owner of the property and headed to a summer camp where I got to try out my new Seahunter. Must say even with the chest wadders on it was fridget and I lasted long enough to find two pennies and exited the water and headed to the car cranking on the heat to full. Tad early for swishing but had to give the seahunter a whirl and was not disappointed by it's performance.

From there it was off to a field of Makinhole's which netted him a nice 1815 George 111 Brit penny and a R.P. button with a crown on top. Hot rocks here forced me from the field and I managed a pewter spoon in the unplowed part of the field as the rain gave us a shower as Nova Scotian weather can change with the drop of a hat!

From there it was off to a park in Windsor to aid the coin count for the day. Here Myles struck first finding a 1905 fish scale 5 cent piece inside a thimble as I found a 1920 and 1943 dime. Pleasant surprise as we had hammered that park which is not that big unmercifully.

All in all a good day with 41 more coins added to this years total.
