Default Back to my yard

I have what I call a postage stamp sized yard. I guess it is more like a courtyard. When we moved here a couple of years ago, and I had only had my detector for a couple of months, I found the pocket watch. It was made in 1912 and I guess it is my favorite find since it is my first find on my property. My neighbor let me search her yard and it is huge. I come back to mine now and then when I don't have long to search. I thought I had gone over it all but I just found this little gun and the Esso key chain tiger. The gun was down about six inches and feels like it is made out of lead or pewter. It was eaten up pretty badly and the end was broken but a little Gorilla Glue fixed that up. Does anyone know if that was a kid's toy or part of a some sort of set for an adult collector? Lead toys......how have kids survived?

Nice finds and love that watch!

Not sure on your gun but I would say it was a play toy

Default k to my yard

That is a nice watch, I can't read who made it. Who was the watchmaker.
Good luck of the neighbors yard.

Forget the lead toys! A friend of the family found a lead baby bottle nipple about 30 years ago...
And a lot of that brightly colored candy of years ago was colored with heavy metal pigments.

boobie, from what I have found, this is what the watch would have looked like new. It's the Hampden Watch Co.

Nice finds! That pocket watch seems to be in good shape. I have found a couple, but never in that good of shape!
