Default first park

All,

well hit my first park today after a week of practice in my back yard and digging up junk..lol...only had my ACE 250 for about 2 weeks now, getting used to it, but hit the play area at the park and found one penny, ewasn't sure of rules for figging underneath the woodchips so better to leave it for another time than make an error and mess it up...saw a trail behind the play area and was in coin mode on my ACE 250 and had a infux in the wehter it was 10s,5,1s, well come to find out out, a small cache of change was sitting there on ,and just below the dirt, for about 20 cents worth there.Wish i had bought a sand scoop the other day casue i had all kinds of reading at the volleyball court..lol..so had to leave em for next time, digging was fruitless, as i couldn't find the hits....well i fiannly found something other than junk, hope to be able to post pixs soon, and be able to report back when i find my first ring or piece of jewelry....see ya guys later and HH!1..Gregg

Thats great Gregg, try to dig most everything for a few days. This way you will learn more in telling a good target from a piece of junk

Good luck,

Greg

Glad you are getting out! Remember to keep some of those finds that you are not sure of! I found a small item (corroded up so bad) that I thought was just junk...was going to throw it away. My dad said let him have it! He has been great at showing me how to clean that iron up! It was a small rusted up item about the size of a coin. He cleaned it up and ended up being a nice military button!

Happy hunting!

Pat
