In 1978 Club member George Cypher , while detecting one Sunday found a white gold wedding band. George was excited with his find, so he replaced his plug and went home. The following Sunday, he returned to the same area where he remembered that he hadn't gone over the replaced area after finding the ring. So he went over the area again and got a detection. Kicking the plug out with his toe, there was the matching diamond engagement ring which was quite valuable. The moral of this story, RECHECK THE HOLES YOU HAVE DUG. |
