Thursdays dug and nondug finds

Closed shop early on Thursday. Went scouting for a site to relic hunt. My best find; an old grave site. I was so caught up in the thoughts that this place provoked that I didn't even bother to hunt it. But that is why I enjoy this hobby so much. Often the best finds are above the terra firma. This graveyard have many sunken graves that aren't marked, and others that are wish a simple rock. Hasn't been tended to in years. Makes one think, huh? How quickly we are forgotten. And how suddenly we are gone.
The last pic is of a .58 cal minie ball. After pinpointing my target, I scraped the leaves and loose topsoil away with my foot and there she was. Happy hunting friends.

Best of luck at that site Boobie. I think I'll hit this particular site once the leaves drop. The vegatation is much more thick than it appears in the pics.

Interesting place you found. Makes you wonder if there are any family left today. People do move off and just no one left to tend to things anymore.
