Default sloppy solo swing photo

From the land of the Bluenose....woke up in a wet bed and was trying to figure out if it was a wet dream or the fact that the window was open and it was raining. Guess that "Depends" on the moment! Shutting the window I noticed that the Little Sackville River had a good head of steam going and was close to overflowing it's banks. In other words a great day for a dig. Was going to go to Windsor and team up with Makinholes but I noticed once again that Goquickski was gone....the nerve of that lady! Guess Marie thought that I would stay in and clean, cook and bake as it was a real downpour outside.

While playing scrabble on line I managed two of the three while playing 7 games (won 5). Luckily for our stomachs there was no baking soda in the house. Marie arrived home from work at 3:15pm and by 3:16 pm I was out the door. Weather had improved to a windy ,dank and over cast day and I headed to a local park.

Pennies and the odd "silver less" silver coins came almost with the first swing of the old Garrett. Was in bliss as I had the whole park to myself. My first non coin find was a blue dinkie in not too bad a shape followed by a coin from India.

While intently digging a coin I failed to notice the intrusion of a four legged thing which scared the halibut out of this bouy as he barked in my ear and then jumped on me and "Frenched" me ear...............Josh the big Golden Lab had struck again. This loveable mutt belongs to my ball coach Darrell who got a good laugh out of watching the ensuing wrestling match. After Josh calmed down we had a discussion about our ball season and the fact that John McKinnon was retiring from the team. He was the founder of the Blues ball team 26 years ago. Darrell indicated that they were going to present him with a special "Ball" ring at our end of the year party. I immediately offered the gold to make it in the hope that it would shave a few dollars off which could be used for a new TPS or Worth bat for next season. Darrell accepted as Josh headed into the lake and I continued to dig in peace. (I'll try and get a photo of the finished project.) Total for the day was a dinkie, India coin, buckle and 46 coins @ $281
