Default return to new site...a few goodies...

I went back to the place that gave up the 1918 merc today...and I ended up with a 1960 washington quarter...a cool McKinley token...drilled to be worn as a pendant, 36 wheats from 1912 to 1958, 9 memorial pennies, 3 "zincolns", and a very cool car......and I usually don't bring the tootsietoys home. I had to make an exception for this one even though it's in bad shape. Pics of the car and token attached. You seen one 1960 quarter, you've seen 'em all. I put that one to bed already.

I find my share of junk, and with one half pound chunk of copper today, I'm starting a recycling bucket. There were lots of (probably 20) rifle cartidges at this place....and they were blanks....you can tell by the strange crimp on the neck. One was even painted a baby blue color. No telling how those got there, but they're widely scattered on this property.

I also found a few modern quarters and dimes today....forgot about those. I have found almost 20 dollars worth of "spending money" since July. I need to pick up a 2005 Silver Eagle for my set...so I guess I'll buy it with money I dug up. That's almost as good as finding silver.

Wyatt I sure like the old car. I hear that some of them are worth nice money, but I seem to just find the ones that are just junk. Congrats on your finds.
