Default My Personally Found Old Silver

Hello Everyone,
Hoping No One will mind me posting my finds? I'm still New to this Forum, want to share my old finds but hoping No One Thinks I'm Posting Too Much! I enjoy find OLD STUFF and want to share my Passion with others! I found everyone of these myself and sold one other (not shown) 1861 Half Dime a few year ago as I thought I needed some pocket change.....It's gone now and regret it!
The scans show the obverse and reverse of my Luck. The top two rows are Half Dimes, 3rd row are Dimes and the last row shows 2 Quarters and a Piece of Eight.
1st row: 1837, 1850-O, 1853, 1853-O & 1855-O,
2nd row: 1856, 1856, 1860, 1861 & Mashed Flat on the R X R track with an O mint mark,
3rd row: 1840-O, 1842, 1842-O & 1891-O,
4th row: 1856, 1857-O & 20 C Piece of Eight

I gained Permission this week to hunt several lots at a hunted out CS Camp. The man also gave names of other property owners close by and told me to use his name as a reference......looking good for Saturday Morning!?!?!?!

Hoping I can post some new stuff soon,
Thanks To Everyone For Their Views, Replies, Welcomes and Everything!!
Until Next, Happy Hunting/Digging, Roger

Holy smokes......great collection. I for one do not tire of seeing stuff...even commonplace stuff....and that's certainly NOT commonplace stuff.

I haven't seen anybody try to squelch anybody's enthusiasm here in the short time that I've been a member, but have seen Leslie take some heat on other, less civilized forums. It's a shame really. It serves no earthly purpose to rain on somebody else's parade.

Have to go clean the drool off of my keyboard now....you varmint.

How many years hunting are we looking at there, Roger?

Wyatt

Default Thanks Everyone!! I FEEL THE WELCOME!!

Mr. Silver,
One Half Dime came from an Old Home Place where a friend of a friend had found some Civil War bullets close by in a ditch while looking for Indian Artifacts. Another Half Dime, the Piece of Eight and a 1827 Large Cent (will show later) was found at an Old Home Place within 1/2 mile of my house. The rest were dug in known Camp Sites but dwellings were close by as well. One Half Dime, One Quarter, several Indian Heads, etc have come from a spot (checked it out last weekend and it still has Soybeans) where the Civil War Road crossed the R X R track. On this property one can find Indian Artifacts, Civil War Relics, Coins from the Old Store with a dwelling and another Old Home Place! Talk about Junk Iron.....it's like hunting a Salvage Yard with the Junkers still in place! But every year the plow and plant.....I have to swing it!!

Mr. Earp, I started detecting in Feb. 1996 so still shy of 10 year

Thanks For Letting Me Share!!
I Feel Welcomed!! And Can Share On Unlimited Fields!!
Until Next, raw-war-digger
