Hello My New Friends,
With the ground being Soo DRY and the cost of gas Soo HIGH I decided to stay close to home today! I did drive into town trying to find out who owns the property being bull dozed and for the fourth time in as many days, no luck! I came back towards my house and remembered seeing some buttercups in a field early this spring. I stopped at the closest house, no one was home. Heading back home, I remembered a place I hunted about 9 year ago.....a house place that may have burnt down, just the chimeny standing. Went to the landowners house, no one was home. Drove past my house and headed to another spot. YES, the hay field had been cut, the landowner was home and I was swinging! The 6" to 8" high grass and stobs sent me on my way once again. I returned to the old home place where I recovered the lost for over 60 year class ring. I dug several pull tabs, Zinc canning lids and some other unwanted aluminum items and foil. I did find what looks like a Civil War poker chip, one 1936 wheat and the surprise of the day! While digging a signal I flipped out this broken arrowhead! It appears to be a Copena type but the selected piece was faulty before the point was made. It's been ID'ed and stored in my collection.
Yes, I'm Long Winded and I Can't Help It!
