Default My 3 hours down the park!

I went out today around 1:00PM, I felt a little bit better today, but my stiffness is still there.
Anyways I got to the park there was Frank, from New Brigton I met the last time I was down the park. I asked Frank how he did, "Just a few clads"
We was BS,I went my way he went his. He found a ring right on top of ground. Then he found a lapel pin "Womans Auxlilry V.F.W.(it was nice find).
When he left he showed a hand full of clads. I showed him my finds:
>1900 IH Penny
>3-Wheats(1923,1928,1955)
>1-Quarter
>1-Nickel
>1-Penny
>1-Commiunoin Token(square piece of lead)
>1-Roach Clip(we called Left Handed Cigarettes)w/pot leaf & mushrooms on other side (inlay with turquiose stones)
>2 Tokens 1-The Ushers Token(dated 1936)Venice,Cal
Made to promote psychic team(good luck coin)the coin was available in each sign of Zodiac(my is Taruas the bull)
>1-20th President U.S.A.1881 died Assassinated James A.Garfield(front)"Teacher President" Maj.Gen. in Civil War Congressman Assassinted Six Months After Inauguration "not a man of iron but of live oak"(back)
Me and Frank had a good time he was down the park longer cleaning out the junk and me too(we both had a pouch full of junk),but its so moist down there you don't hit dry until 12" deep

Default Great finds, Perry!

Good going! Sounds like you're doing well.
Just curious what detector you're using, and what Frank was using.
Seems like you're finding a lot of nice, deep stuff. Whatever you're doing, you're doing it right! I suspect you're using every last little bit of advantage you can from your detector, and searching with great care.

I bought it 1981 or 1982 still working just fine!
Frank using a White's MXT he said he bought when the DFX where not yet. I just buy new nicads for my detector now and than,I went thru 3 sets since I had the machine.

Default Hi Perry!

Good on the detectors! I bought my kids a good, used MXT with last year's tax return. OK on your vintage detector! They still work, and you make it work well.
I'm in South West Washington state. Not much here. I'm about half way between Seattle and Portland.

Nice going Mr Silver. My dad and I have been diggin Midland Park a couple times a year for the past 3 years and I just cant believe the silver that comes out of that place. We were there all day Monday and for about 6 hours today. I pulled out 23 silver coins and my dad dug 8. Also dug 143 wheaties. Our totals so far are 123 silver, 1300+ wheaties, 27 ihs, a bunch of V and buffalos, and a bunch of silver jewelry. That place has the worst ground that I have ever hunted. It is hard to get any depth but our machines seem to do great there. The grass is real low right now which helps. Oh I met Frank there on Monday. He had dug a nice merc. I am new on this forum and I will try my luck at posting my finds from the last couple days at Midland. Well keep on diggin. The park still has lots of silver!

Marc
