Default My affair with the Dairy Queen is over...

I went back to the Dairy Queen yesterday and pulled another 6 bucks or thereabouts out of there....over 14 dollars in 2 days ain't too shabby, but the glint of silver...even if it's not that big...or not that old...is what I crave.

So this evening I went back to one of the old yards downtown...the one that gave me the 1918 merc, and I was there about an hour. I pulled 5 wheats, 5 memorial pennies, one zincoln.....and 2 silver roosies....a 48 and a 59-D. I needed the 59-D for my dug roosevelt dimes book (46-64)

My clad is piling up, and I'm going to use it to buy some silver pretty soon....even though it's not quite the same as digging the coins...the object isn't (and never was) to fill a box up with clad. I'd rather fill a smaller box with silver. I've decided that quality is better than quantity, and am going to buy stuff that I could never dig up anyway.

Boring....I know.....more exciting days ahead. Just killin' a couple hours after supper. I used to nap during that time and then stay up til all hours...but since I've started detecting after supper instead of sleeping, I've lost 5 pounds and gained 35 dollars in clad...and some cool coins too.

I will find more silver in this town....just need to ask permission to do some more yards. The big stuff is gone. I talked to a guy in his 20s...while at the Dairy Queen...and he and his Dad cleaned up mst of the big stuff. He's been doing it since he was 13.

Oh yeah.......I know Kenny....I've known him for years. I used to play music occassionally with Carl Elkins from Fairview sometimes too....one of Kenny's cousins. Tell Kenny I said hello next time you see him. I haven't seen him for a couple years.
