Talking Todays Loot !

I have not had a day like this for a very long time! I went to Silver reef again today and i was digging a lot of junk and finally found a few good relics,Some buttons, bullets, suspender buckles,Bridal Rosette. Ok i thought i was having a good day but it just got a lot better.

I got tired of the same old place so i decided to go downstream a couple of miles to find a new spot to hit. I get down there and spotted an old swing hanging from a tree so i get out of my vehichle to check it out and it turned out that this was an old swimming hole.

I start detecting immeadiately and it was like taking fish from a barrel.. lol I started hitting coins one after another!

3 indian head pennys 1885 and 1894 and 1905
5 wheatbacks 1911 D, 1917,1919s,1920,1929
1 nickel 1943P
3 Mercury dimes 1941 D, 1944, 1945 S
2Quarters 1935, 1936
1 Utah Token. It says emergency relief Has 5 Mills on it

So i think this will be a day to remember

You had a great day. I mustered only 5 wheats today....a 1917, 24-S 52D, 42, and 50-D....and a cub scout neckerchief slide. Better hit that area hard. There are probably still some good ones there.

Wyatt, Looks like you had a good day also! Is that cub scout neckerchief slide old?

I had an "OK" day. I am disappointed when I don't score at least a silver dime, but Carmichaels has kept me "nearly" skunked for silver this year. The neckerchief slide is from the 1960's. I have a matched pair of those now, and just my luck....only one neck.

Default Congrats!

Glad you stopped at that place and hit the jackpot!
Swimming holes that have fairly stable banks have produced nicely for me.
I'd go back and hit it again.
