...apparently I don't
.....because that "church" lot I was working today...was a grade school up through 1965 when they built the new school. Come to think of it, that would have been an awfully big church. I wasn't looking at the building...I was watching my meter. It's apparent now that there were indeed swings and stuff on the side where all those rosies turned up. That school was built much earlier than that.....1930s maybe. I'm going to see if it's marked. It's a community center now.So what if I'm 3 fries short of a happy meal....I don't know any better ![]() Wyatt |

I drove past that schoolhouse this am....it was built in 1904. There have got to be some older coins there yet. They used the facility for 60 school years, which span 2 periods of economic prosperity, the years following WWI and the decade following WWII.
I think the older coins are out of reach for the old 6000 in it's present state. I have noticed that the topsoil's pretty deep at this location, which is on the flood plane of the Monongahela river. Wyatt |
