Default Makinholes finds diamonds

From the land of the Bluenose.....Makinholes made the journey from Windsor and we headed to the Eastern Shore to catch the water taxi to do the dew on an island. Since we had time to spare I took Makinholes to a park in Dartmouth and within 15 minutes he had a dug up a kids ring and a 14k gold diamond ring! With Makinholes day made already we continued to catch our lift. Hadn't been to the island since the hurricane and man o man was it a mess. Have hunted this spot for over 20 years and thought I knew every tree and rock on the place....not now as trees and roots were scattered all over the place and to make things worse the vegetations was too high to swing in the prime locations. Undaunted we continued our weed wacking hunt with Makinholes hitting a neat old brooch with an Eygptian motif. Of course not to be out done, my on and off dial broke and my machine went dead! Lord love a duck! She is 17 years old (same as my daughter) so you know she will be going to see nurse Mary P at Garrett this winter. Males jury rigged it so it would work but in order to shut it off the batteries have to be removed.

We had planned to stay the day but rain was threatening so we phoned the taxi and had a quick cruise to the dock followed by an even quicker mad dash to Tim's for a brew and to thaw out.

With some daylight left I took Myles to the Village green where we dug our brains out. Myles ended up the day with the brooch, gold diamond ring, kid's ring and 57 coins totaling $3.57. My take for the day was one sick land baby, pizza token and 86 coins @$10.67
