Default who took all the silver coins from the schoolhouse?

Well.....It had to happen.....I got skunked for silver coins at the old school tonight. I went for almost 2 hours....and all I could muster was this man's ring, stamped "Sterling"....which had at one time been gold plated. No stone, but there was a little fragment left...and it was transparent...undoubtably glass.

I went to that other place I'd been ogling for so long....and was unable to hunt. The whole place is encompassed by an electric fence. The pulse was driving the detector nuts....so I fell back to th schoolyard because I was pressed for time and wanted to swing the coil.

The ring's cool....but I'm more easily excited by a coin or 2....or maybe a whole ring rather than just the set. I guess beggars can't be choosers. I didn't dig any penny signals tonight......passed on several. That's not my last trip there though, so at least I know that there's still some pennies there. Heck there's probably more silver coins there too....I just have to spend a little more time now to find them.

Default Hey Wyatt!

Next time you are at the school try going in circles: instead of going straight ahead: Your MD
can pick on coins on edge if you go in circles!
It works for me!

I swing the coil in a pretty wide arc...much wider than anybody I know of. I've not gone around in circles, but I do frequently change directions. If I locate a signal that registers on the meter......and turn 90 degrees and it doesn't.....I don't dig it. That may be a mistake, but anytime I've dug an iffy signal like that, it's turned out to be a nail in the edge of the hole.
