Default Garrett works like a woman (photo)

From the land of the Bluenose....well after being up straight for 25 hours finally got some sleep and woke up refreshed and ready to enjoy my 4 days off. Of course it being a holiday thought Marie would be in the kitchen fixing me a nice meal when I awoke. Man was I wrong....out shopping. Only only guess as to where she found some opens stores...........ummmmmmmmm!
Anyway fixed a cup of joe just as she returned said hi and beat it out the door like a blue arse fly. Hit a local school to field test the new Garrett which worked fine to my amazement as last outing I was ready to use it as a sledge hammer!. Has that woman trait...stubburn and works only when it feels like it. Anyway a few coins and I have included the little gold piece I found the other day when hunting with French Dave which I almost forgot about.

Do you ever find "older" clads? By the way, why do you always have to tell us,"From the land of the Bluenose"? We heard it wwwaayyyy too much. I would drop dead if you posted without that phrase.

Nice little gold piece! That's something I wouldn't forget! I love that gold! Way to go!

Steelers I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes here but If I didn't hear from the land of the bluenose, it wouldn't seem to be Leslie talking! And not everyone finds old coins all the time. It also has to do with where your preference (area) of hunting is. In my case I have only had access to newer areas with no older history for now and they are only going to produce mostly newer clad! I have been happy to just get to dig a few new coins! Metal detecting is a hobby finding new and old finds both! It is all about fun! And really exciting when each individual finds something that he or she likes finding inpaticular!

Default Leslie=Nova Scotia=Bluenose: A History Lesson...

Hi Guy,

A bit of a history lesson to put things in proper perspective for you.
Leslie lives in Nova Scotia, a very historic province in Canada.
The Bluenose is a very famous schooner from NS, so historical that it is pictured on the back of the Canadian dime.
So it's only natural that someone that is proud of Nova Scotia would state that they are from the Land of the Bluenose.
It would be, say, if you were from Pennsylvania or Pittsburg, that you signed as "From the Land of the Steelers", or "Steelers1985".
To be quite frank, if Leslie didn't sign with his trademark phrase, all would not be well with the world.
I, as well, always wondered what the phrase meant until I politely asked him about it.
I appreciated his kind answer, and always look forward to his postings and musings from the Land of the Bluenose!

HH! -Tom

From the Land of Great Power, aka The U.S.A. ... Thanks for the reply. I just think it is irritating and quite arrogant sounding.

I'm sorry you feel that way Steelers and it irritates me that you would say such a thing.
We need to respect one another and think before we speak.....Ok?
