Default old house finds

I like the old play money but the 39 merc is my favorite find today. Jeff

Congrats on your finds! The Merc is a good find. If there is coins that age there you are probably hitting a great old honey hole.

Ain't it funny how play money can be so nice out of the ground......and you get a zinc penny that's been in the ground 6 months and it's half eaten away. I have a few "play" coins I've found as well. 2 of them say "falsa pecunia" on them. One is dated 1954.

I plan to hit it daily if possible. It will be torn down soon in the name of progress. There are 4 new homes on the property already. Oh well there goes another piece of history. Jeff

Old houses are my favorite places to hunt. I just have a hard time finding out who ownes them to get permission.

Great finds, great old house. The state owns most of our county, so old homesites are far and few between. I have to go to the next county to really find old homesites. Good job on your finds.
