Default Arduous 50 coin day after evening with Bud

From the land of the Bluenose.....spent last evening wrapping presents and along came Mr. Bud who by himself is not a bad thing but he tends to bring along 11 of his relatives. Two rolls of scotch tape and 11 beer later all the presents were wrapped as Marie had gone to a penny auction at out church.

Not making the mistake of the previous day I did my "paper work" before leaving to dig as I didn't want another "encounter of the frozen oak leaf of the first kind." Thought too to be on the safe side I'd do a spot where I could enjoy the dig and have a paper work area handy so it was off to Oakfield Park. Thought it appropriate to be playing Purple Haze by Hendrix on the way. A stop at Tim's seemed to help.

Arriving at the park I had to park at the closed gate and hoof the 20 minute trek to the green and beach area which was pleasant and gave me time to get it together.

Once there a new problem arose as every time I bent down to recover a coin I thought I'd woof my cookies. Sort of reminded me of the first time I meet French Dave at Shubie for a dig and almost chucked on him and Max the bilingual wonder dog. This bouy knows how to make a good first impression for sure eh! Anyway two hours and forty some minutes later I had 53 coins @ $7.46, a Nova Scotia pin and a dewy.

Moral of the story is..."Don't drink and dig." Happy hunting all.
