Default Some old bullets in North Texas

I took my Garrett 250 out to an old park today and about an hour of digging up trash decided to try an old group of trees about 50 yards from the main play area.

The park was founded in 1909 and is directly next to Hwy 75 about 2 miles from the Red River Oklahoma border.

Right across the park is a old cemetary called Calvery cemetary which I think was for the old Texas Calvery that was stationed in the area and across in Oklhoma.

Im really courious what these slugs are but have absolutly know knowledge of old relic identification.

Here are a few pictures I took. Im pretty happy since this is only the 2nd time out with the ACE250.

Nice finds on the Bullets !!

There are a couple of possibilities and its impossible for me to be positive from a picture, they are or could be either from a 45/70 rifle or from a 45 ACP.

if you can weight the ones that look the most intact, around 220 grains or below, puts them within the range for the 45 ACP, above 300 grains makes them more than likely to be a rifle slug.

the crimp rings is a fairly modern addition to ammunition.also being a jacketed round makes them a little more modern .
