Default wasn't coming home till I had 50 coins

From the land of the Bluenose.....after serving Marie her usual Sunday breakfast in bed it was time to hit the road for a dig. Mind you she told me to put on my rain gear and I ignored her thinking it was going to be just a cloudy day and besides i didn't want to get it wet nor dirty!
Hit a few spots in the Waverly area as the rain started to pour ; not like cats and dogs but more like rhinos and elephants. Got so wet and muddy my Garrett hat took on the hue of recycled chili. Left this area as a pair of 4 wheelers were bombing around and making donuts in the grass. Um.......donuts. So it was off to Tim's for a brew and of course a plain donut. Was half way home at this point to the 50 coin day.
Next spot was a school yard which looked more like a swimming pool. Looked for Steven Seagull (no to be mistaken for the actor) but he must have found food elsewhere. After a few coins the rain started again so I took this as an omen to move on ending up at the Village Green which quickly aided in completing my quest for the 50 coin day.
Of course on the way back had to pick up a treat for Marie. Got her good when I said I had an ice cream for her (see Pix) and then presented her with a blueberry cheese cake. After a quick warming shower I stumbled on to one of Buds relatives left over from last night....some smooth! End result for the day was 52 coins @ $2.31, a fun zone token, ice cream dewy and a 50 cent. Brazil coin.

I hunt sports fields and school yards mostly ! I always tell myself " Aint gonna go home till I find an item of jewlery " !!! Ya know , most of my outings are between 3 to 7 hours and MOST of the time I come home with coins and jewlery of some kind ! ILOVE THE THRILL OF THE HUNT NO MATTER THE WEATHER !!! My wife confiscated the last gold & diamond ring I found at a soccer field appraised at $ 300.00 !!!! I will NEVER understand why people wear expensive jewlery while playing sports !!!!BUT IT A GOOD THING FOR US DETECTORIST !!!! How long did it take ya to find those coins Leslie? WTG !!!! KENNETH

From the land of the Bluenose.....took a little under two hours. Usually only hunt those locations with the Bardman who is in his 70's. The field was close and the tank too on Goquickski....empty!

Default Good finds, Leslie!

wasn't coming home till I had 50 coins

Good finds, Leslie! If I didn't come home until I found 50 coins, I'd probably not be seen for several days! This year's finds (two trips) didn't amount to even 20 coins, but had a lot of fun.
Until a few days ago, we had thirtysome straight days of rain.
It was nice of you to bring home the cheesecake for Marie!
Wishing you continued good luck.

HH! -Tom
