Default My first Indian

Been out of the swing of things for a few weeks now...the Ole flu bug has hit this hole household! I hope we all have that behind us! Was feeling better today and was able to get out and do a little digging! Trying to get my energy back!

My husband David took me to his great granddad's old homestead and I found my first Indian today! House is gone, nothing left there but a pasture. Got a lot of iron signals. Dug a few of them...nothing significant. Lots of shot gun shells. Found a couple of pieces I believe came from a harmonica, two plows a whatsizit...pictured below and this rivet or snap, I have seen these in posts here before but not sure what they are actually called or what it came from! Someone want to jump in and help me out here!

Didn't find a lot, but that Indian made my day!

HH
Pat

Thanks for the replies! The IH was reading 55 vdi at 6.5 inches on my dfx when I turned it up. The back is how it looked when it came out of the ground. The front had a thick crust of dirt that I removed with a soft brush with a little soap and water. It sure looks a lot better than some of the wheats I have turned up around here! I was very impressed with the quality with all these years!

The whatsizit...the hole, looking at it could have been made from a square nail and the outer rim when I look through it with my loop, looks like it could have been a coin! Just my luck on it being so worn! Oh well I will just keep guessing!

We had are first real rain I can remember in along time! The thunder started last night at about 1 and has not stopped all day! Now it is in the 40's and it is feeling like winter and Jan is nearly gone! Strange winter we are having!

HH or H-researching to everyone
Pat

Hey Mr.Silver, glad to hear from you! Sorry to hear about your health and those dreadful marriage problems! I think we all who are married have had our share! But who ever said it would be easy! LOL! Take the good with the bad! It can be rough but hang in there it will get better! If we didn't have the bad times how can we have good times!!! Wishing you well and better days! You are going to have to get better...cause you sure can find some great treasures!!! Everyone here has really given me the incentive to keep on hunting because you all have shown me that great finds are out there and they can be found!

HH when ya can!
Waiting to see some of those finds!
Pat
