Hey, libraries are even better than schools, especially next to the bike racks. We found our first "real" ring today, it's hallmarked 825, whatever that means. It is inscribed, so being me I want to find "Peaches" and give her her ring back.

Silver rings are always fun to find! The "825" stamping indicates the purity of the silver. "825" fine = 82.5% silver. Sterling is 925. US coin silver is 900, and I belive Canadian coin silver is 800 fine.
I wear a charm that has some very small hallmarks in Arabic that translate to "800"... I love the piece, but had to scold the folks that sold it to me as Sterling (which should have been 925). If I were young again, I'd be looking for peaches, too! (But then, I wonder what kind of shape her mother is in...) HH! -Tom |

I hear ya on the pickup truck! lol! I have one for ya! I will post in a few! I found two items yesterday! One was one I sure wish I could have kept! But one had a name on it! I found the owner today and just gave them back to him about an hour ago! That was sure one fish I hated to throw back!
lol! But giving it back was a great feeling! The expression on their face was worth a million bucks!I will post it as the fish that got away! HH and hope you find more great finds! Pat |
