Nice find! I sure hope they are real for ya! Neat story bout the turkey! Here's one for you guys to laugh at... Me and David were headed out to look for some arrowheads, traveling down the road, up ahead...I saw a pack of buzzards on the side of the road! I said to David...Wow look at all those buzzards! He grinned at me and said those are wild turkeys!
He said those wild turkeys will bring good luck and I found those points I posted the other day! Great find and can't wait to see what else you dig up! HH Pat |

Coffin. No kidding. We were detecting on Crystal's property over in Weatherford Texas and Crystal got a real strong signal on my GTX 350.. Almost like a scream. It was on her family's homestead (they had been in Parker County since around the 1850's). Upon digging down about about 22" we hit something iron. We outlined the item and it was real big.. Right at 6' long and three across. After we had moved enough dirt to see it was a coffin, Crystal almost fainted. We called the County Sheriff because we didn't think it was supposed to be there because it was almost in the middle of a 95 acre pasture.
After the Sheriff came out with the County Examiner, they concluded it was a "Fisk" style coffin. The the Sheriff asked Crystal what did she want to do with it. That afterall, it was on her property. She said she sure as "Bleep" wasn't taking it home and said rebury it. So we reburied it and now the location is fenced off. Nobody knows who is buried there and Crystal thinks it may be her GGGfathers Dad in Law or Mother In Law. No one alive today knows where they were buried. We had another reading over close to the first but we didn't dig.. It was outlining like the first one so we figured it was another coffin. We couldn't figure out why they were so shallow until the Sheriff pointed out that the bedrock was about four feet below the surface in the area and not easily dug out. James

I think i posted this story but will tell it again for you newbies.A couple of years ago i was detecting a favorite spot with my brother and had no luck,we whent home and i was thumbing through the red book of U.S. coins.I was looking at some of the older coins and thought" boy i would love to find one of thouse" so i decided to return to the spot(a training grounds for the militia in 1812) As i got out of the car i thought " well mom show me the silver"( mom passed away 20 years ago).About 20 ft ahead i got a weak signal and dug an 1806 half real.Later (about 2 weeks) i returned after planting lillys on mom's grave.I noticed some lillys growing along the edje of the field,so started there.I imediatly got a signal and dug a chicken colonel button, and another and another ! I had been hoping to find one of these for years as my dad found 2 here years before. Now wenever i go there i say ok mom show me some GOLD !! but i guess she's savin that one for later.
