My Grandfather threw a horse shoe into the fork of a tree the mid 1930's. By the late 50's they had grown into the tree and could not be seen. Some time in 2004 the tree feel down. Feb 06 I recovered it after my dad told me about the story. Luck has it that there where two shoe's in the three. It was a good feeling knowing that the last person who touched the horse shoes was my grandfather around 71 years ago.

Hey Gregory, Not going to remove all of the wood just enough to see both horse shoes clearly. Then make a display to put on the book shelf. I'll probably give it to my dad since it was his dad that threw them into the tree. I'll post a few pics of the progress in a few days.
