Default Wooden Stake at Carolina Beach

Found this at the north end of Carolina Beach, NC back in 2004. Carolina Beach is at the opposite end of the beach from Fort Fisher. I've been wondering ever since if this wooden stake came from Fort Fisher and when. Just thought that some of you might enjoy the picture.

Looks like a piece of drift wood to me.

Default Drift wood.

Well, how do you think it got back on the beach. The angle is cut the same all away around the wood. Someone has shapped it, but for what I don't know.

Tooth pick maybe...could be a tent stake.

Not nearly enough information to conclude anything.
