Well this afternoon was pretty dang good if I say so my self. I had two first. I found my first non damaged civil war bullet ( I think) not 100% sure but still neat find. I also found my first buffalo nickel can you believe that. After all my find I finally found a buffalo. Was excited but it didn’t have a date. I still take it lol. I also came out with another 1964 nickel and 2 old wheat cents. A 1911 and a 1910 sweet . I hope you guys had a great day. I will look for you in the field.

Later Will

Nice digs Will. On the bullet...I believe that it has been fired as the rings are flattened and somewhat distorted. Does this bullet have a cavity or a flat base? Looks like there might be some rifling marks up the sides too. Based on just a visual ID I am going to guess that it is a Spencer bullet. I am by no means a bullet expert and this is just humble opinion! If you have any calipers a measurement would be most helpful in ID'ing it! The brass piece looks familiar to me but I can't put a finger on it just yet!
Nice coin find too!

The bullet is a 3/8" round and 11/16" tall. And the solid on bottom. Thanks for your help. On the funny looking round object. It looks to have had some gold cover it at one time. Reminds me of a chain link fence part. This is to heavy for that, Of coarse I have been wrong plenty of times soo

Thanks Will

Wow Will,
Your kickin some major tail with that new MXT. Way to go on the buff. Gotta be some more great stuff there. Gunna wait till middle summer now for the M6. Checkin on a job to where a mining company has to scrap off all the topsoil in this WHOLE town because its contaminated with lead. They have to haul "clean" topsoil back in to replace their yards. If I get on this job just think how many yards there will be to hunt. They have already been workin for a year in another town doin the same thing. Just think how many coins was scrapped up and hauled off...........I've been praying really hard for God to show me some favor in this situation.LOL
Hollar at ya later.
Gary
