My Finds on 03-04-2006

I returned to the Property that I hunted last week-end. I parked on another road and walked that property line (along the old road bed) until the fence line turned. I followed the fence, crossed a creek, up the hill and was on the ridge where my finds came from last week-end.
I finally noticed the four Deer that were watching me. My camera was in my pouch but I hadn't put the batteries in it yet. Those Deer ran off as the dog came into view. I looked up the hill and saw the head of another Deer looking at me. I got down and put the batteries in my camera. I took these two snaps before moving on.
I returned to where the action was last week-end but I had no luck with the Quattro under the Power Lines. Moving down the creek I took this snap of some of the calves that don't understand what I'm doing either. I finally found another Old Home Place and finished the day there. Nothing much to tell much less show.....household junk, part of a pocket knife, a brouch?, and a "US" Rosette with three ears (WWI or WW2?).
I got my exercise of at least 5 to 6 miles! It was a pretty day, cool (30) this morning but nice (56) this evening.
I stopped by work for little over an hour to finish up on a project.

I nknow the feeling of coming out empty handed, just the name of the game. I also know about digging lots and lots of trash. Hey roger you watcha got going tomorrow. I think I'm gonna make a day of hunting. I hope you can pull some goodies out of the ground.
