Research Paid Off!
Hey, guys, my brother, Keith, and I decided to do a little detecting at one of my research spots, and it paid off. I found this location while browsing my local library's historical photo archives. I knew that it would pay off eventually, but I didn't know when. About 5 minutes into our hunt, I pulled out a 1901 Liberty Head "V" nickel at a depth of 3 inches. I also found 2 Wheats today. I also received a 5.5 inch "dime" reading that I couldn't dig because of the frozen tundra; hopefully it will be a silver dime.
Here is a picture of the area that we detected today. The "V" nickel was found where the truck is parked in the photo. Oh, the picture doesn't have any woods, but today there is a wooded area in the background of the picture.

try resizing it
dont know how you can do it but my camera has a resizing option.Great to see you can detect with your brother.I have 3 brothers and 1 just isent interested and the other 2 both have detectors but never use them.My oldest bro.bought a brand new garratt used one time and gave up after mabey an hour.He said there aint nothin here and whent home,about an hour later i found an 1806 half real were he was looking.snooze ya lose !!! The best one was when my little brother told me you aint gunna find nothin there i just searched that spot.This was about the time i pulled out a barber quarter.

Here is a picture of Zoy's research spot that was productive! He found his 1901 nickel a little to the right of the truck. This area is wooded now in the background of the picture. We are going to hit this spot tomorrow. I'm going to the woods! I wonder if Zoy will follow me there and we will have a
 for the TREASURE?
