A few finds

Went to an old town site that was moved back in the 1930's due to a dam and flooding. Found alot of trash. After that when to a lake for some campground and beach hunting. Picked up 4 quarters, 3 dimes, 2 nickles, 14 pennies. Oldest coin was a 1965 quarter. Almost but no cigar.

These old sites I have are turning up alot of trash, nothing of worth yet. Going to keep hitting it hard though.

Take a small section at a time 10' x 10' area and work it every direction,elimate all junk and next time you do that section you be suprised what treasure you will be diggin-its worked for me!

All that trash is overwhelming but dont give up on it !!! I am currently detecting a defunct trailor park ! YOU WOULDNT BELIEVE THE TRASH !! But marking off a 10'foot X 10'foot area and scan it from every dirrection and PATIENCE is a MUST here take out all the trash and scan again YOU WILL BE SURPRIZED at what ya find !!! So far I have found 3 silver rings ! $ 16.40 in modern coinage and 4 toy medal cars !!! A Small Coil in areas like this is a TREMINDOUS help ! HAPPY HUNTING !! KENNETH

That was a great idea. Take out the trash and rescan in small areas like 10X10 spots.....Thanks for the info

Thanks for that advice all. That will make it alot less daunting. It's fun either way. Hope to get out tommorrow for a few hours. Will let you know what I find.
