My First Buffalo
I did a bit of yard work Monday and tilled up a small area I use to plant a few vegetables. Had never swung the coil over it so gave it a try when I was finished. On Monday I turned up a 1917 wheatie and on Tuesday found my first ever Buffalo. I was thrilled. The soil has been hard on her but after some magnification and tilting this way and that in the best light available, I found her to be a 1916. Just goes to show good finds can be anywhere.

The Buffs are fun indeed. I know I wish they would have made the date better on these coins. I think if they would have recessed the date it would still be on there when we dig them so many years later.

Congrats on your 1st buffalo! I have only found 2. Can't tell the date on mine. Hope you find many many more!
