Thumbs up Newbie finds first wheatie

Probably not too exciting for the more seasoned hobbyists, but this is my first pre seventies coin find, and it felt goooood.

Kinda like Christmas, ain't it? You know, you got a gift there in front of you burried in the ground. You can shake it a bit -- get a feel for what might be down there by the sounds your detector makes -- but you just never know until you dig it up!! Congrats on the first Wheat! I've got 62 now, just can't seem to find a darn indian to save my soul!

WTG! That is what keeps you going, never knowing what you are gonna dig next. Keep swinging and digging.

Ya aint seen nuthin yet !! just wait till you find your first silver or your first coin more than a hundred years old ! One of my best was a gold and ruby ring that my grandmother gave to my sister on her 12th birthday.she had completly forgot about it(as it was about 20 years later that i found it ). It's Great to give somthing like that back.although at the time i was a kid and it was the best thing i had ever found HH..Terry
