Default My annual coinshooting trip to my dads. What a weekend it was!!!

Went home to Ohio to do some coinshooting with my dad. We hit 5 parks in 3 days from sun up to sun down. The first park we hit was across the line in Beaver PA. The first coin I dug was an 1841 seated half dime. That sure woke me up! This park also gave up two 1865 2 centers, two large cents (1831 and 1852), an 1896 barber quarter, a 1920 SLQ, a bunch of indian heads and wheaties. Also dug some musketballs and a nice Pennsylvania National Guard button. The musketballs were probably from the old indian wars fort site which is just a few blocks down river. After we pounded that park we headed back to Midland park. The old Explorer worked wonders again. I dug 23 more silver from that place including some barbers and a walker half. I cant believe the silver and wheaties we have pulled out of that park over the last few years. It has some of the worst ground I have ever dug. I guess it is because of all the crap that came out of the smokestacks for who knows how long and settled in the ground. The other parks we hit just gave up wheaties. It was another fun trip back home.

Marc

Beautiful finds Marc. It's nice to be able to dig a variety of things from musket balls to buttons to coins.

Nice finds! How deep were they in the park? Were the readings jumpy? Lastly, how large is Midland park?
