Post Potential Avatar Find

Found this lovely lady while digging bottles. She is badly rusted, but she was neat and I couldn't leave her behind. I'm thinking of cleaning her up nice and using her as my avatar.

She is very heavy iron, and is broken off of something larger at her feet. She is fancy dressed, holding an arc above her that has a small plaque. Has anyone seen anything like it? Maybe she was part of a trophy of some sort. The bottles in the hole were 30s and 40s.

Let me know whatcha think,

HJ

Hi all,

Beachgirl is not the first person to think it is a bottle opener, although the opinions favor alien hood ornament by far.

The mistake I made in my original post is that I did not give a reference as to the size of the item. She is 8" tall from toes to bow, 4" wide hand to hand and weighs about a pound.

The more I look at it, the more I think that it may be the top ornament of a cast iron bell. Judging from the risque nature of her dress possibly maritime or a "last call" bell in a saloon. Just a thought.....
