Default Fishing Trip On The Hatchie River 5-27-06

I want very much to go digging but I'm tired of going to the same Old Places once again. The weather is in the low 90's (stops the field/pasture hunting) with growth above knee high and the SUN RAYS being a killer! I stood at the Garage door this morning looking at the boat shed, thinking where I could go digging for over 30 minutes! I finally hooked to the small boat and drove to Pocahontas, TN and put into the Hatchie River. I took worms, crickets and the assortment of Crappie Jigs. I caught several Bluegill, maybe 6 small Crappie and a few small Bass. I threw everything back today except for a few pictures! I was wanting to go to Mercer, TN at Hatchie Station but not knowing the affects of the Flast Flood we had Friday Morning, I went South!

Hoping Everyone Has A Safe & Happy Memorial Day Week-end,
Good Luck and Happy Hunting To Those That Are Able To Dig, Roger

A day with a fishing rod is as good as a day with a detector. Beautiful pics too. You said there was a flash flood last Friday but the river looks sorta low in those pics! I guess the heat will take it's toll on the water levels huh?

Quote "Flast Flood we had Friday Morning"! The Flood affected my driveway which is gravel and most of the gravel ended up down hill in my yard. Evidently the rain didn't affect the Hatchie.....yet! I live just East of the South Fork of the Forked Deer River and all the way to Jackson, TN yesterday morning was littered with trash, mud and high water! Strange how these Scattered Storms can hit or miss!!

Get Those CS Buttons Travis!!
Take Care, Roger
