i found this covered in concretion, i took it home and soaked it in lime away and scrubbed it with a soft toothbrush a little at a time until i got to the metal. it turned out to be an 1827 large cent with a hole (quite possibly a rafter cent) any other ideas about the hole besides a necklace?large cent 002.jpg
