Very nice find John! I have been relic hunting for 11 years and still not dug an Eagle C. Found lots of I's, D's and A's but the C and R Eagles elude me! Funny thing is that 9 of my years digging were in the Winchester and Berryville Va. area and since moving to NC have dug more buttons here!!!! I do miss the Shenandoah Valley though! Much better hunting there! Maybe next time I am up that way we can hunt together! Good luck on your next outing!

hi nb digger rumer has it there was a ny camp in the right field and a confederate camp in the back field. looks like the rumer is true. miss john has dug a confederate staff button out of the back field. each field is 10 acres so its gonna take some time.

That is a fantastic find. I have only done a little relic hunting and no such luck as that. Maybe one of these days I will concentrate more on the relics and start making some nice finds like that. WTG
