Default First Time with my ACE250

my first hunt with my Brand NEW ACE250 was king of a Bust ..
i went to a local park and i startet my MD up .. after 5 minutes i have had my First 4 coins .. all pennies but still coins ..

2006 D
2003 D
1980 D
1972 D

well as i get my last pennie up from the ground a park worker comes over to me and tells me i have to leave the park .. i am doing something ileagal by Metal Detecting in that park ..
i was woundering about this but i left ,, dident want them to call the cops on me, well when i came home i wrote an e-mail to the Vancouver Park office and ask for a permission to MD in the parks and not get kicket out again.

Well tomorrow i hope to hit a school playground,

Thats too bad about the park, hopefully you will get permission. Don't get discouraged there are lots of places to hunt. Good luck. l look forward to hearing about your great finds with the 250

Oh my...

You just probably fell for the oldest trick in the book!

He was probably just another metal detector hobbyist who wanted the place to himself so he posed as a park worker and told you to get out!

I've used that one myself.

Just Kidding!

Finaly got an answer on my e-mail back from Vancouver-Clark Parks & Recreation

Wise, Toni <Toni.Wise@ci.vancouver.wa.us>

No permit is needed. We ask that the landscape and grass of the park not
be destroyed in the retrieval of any findings.

So i will be going out again soon . and i have the E-mail printed out in hard copy

Default Huntin the park ?

Hi Tiger !! Iam glad ya can go back to the park !! Is the park an OLD park ? I ALWAYS carry me a gallon jug of water and a SMALL bag of grass seed . So when I refill my holes I can sprinkle a little seed and and a little water where I have dug ! Because the holes ya dug will kill the grass on the plug in the heat of summer, QUIK!! And thats a REAL GOOD way to get kicked out of a park if one of the park employees see brown patches all over the lawn!!! Then they will have the legal right to keep ya from detecting in that park !! Go back and find some goodies !!! KENNETH

i have made my self the promish NOT to dig in grass in Parks .. i will keep my digging to playgrounds and bare areas with no grass .. just i dont want to destroy anything and i respect that i am on puplic land.

i know i might miss out on something but it is a promish i made my self ..
